Annual Race Cancelled at Gunstock

Gunstock Ski Club Cancels Francis Piche Invitational Race

Gilford, NH (March 12, 2020) – Earlier this afternoon, the Gunstock Ski Club (GSC), an independent ski racing organization based out of Gunstock Mountain Resort, informed Gunstock of their decision to cancel the 2020 Francis Piche Invitational Race. It is Gunstock’s understanding that GSC came to this difficult decision shortly after USASA announced cancellations of several other competitions across the country in response to the COVID-19. For more information about USASA, please visit their website

Gunstock values the health and safety of all guests and employees and is taking precautions recommended by medical experts and local officials, including WHO, NH Health and Human Services, and other trusted sources. These efforts include disinfecting facilities and educating employees on personal protective measures. New information is being released daily and the Gunstock management team is closely monitoring all available updates and news on the virus.

Gunstock Mountain Resort’s scheduled closing date is April 5th. At this point, the resort will remain open and operating normally until further notice. Open and clear communication with the public is vital, and Gunstock management will continue to evaluate and inform as the situation evolves.
