GUNSTOCK USHERS IN SPRING WITH FUN EVENTS
AND WEEKLY PROGRAMS
Gates N’ Gaps and Ride N’ Ski Après Party events will make for a bustling weekend at the mountain.
Gilford, NH (March 19, 2019) Spring is here and Gunstock Mountain Resort is hosting events on March 23-24 to celebrate the last few weeks of fun in the snow.
Gunstock will be hosting its new Gates N’ Gaps event on Saturday from 11am-1pm. Geared toward intermediate and advanced skiers and riders, this competition combines NASTAR racing, terrain park tricks, and selfies. Contestants will take freeform laps through Gunstock’s Blundersmoke and Pistol Parks, where their tricks will be judged and scored. They will also take unlimited race runs around the gates of the NASTAR course (ranked #1 in NH for amount of racers hosted) to clock their fastest possible time. The creative element of the competition will be the selfie contest, where contestants will snap an on-mountain selfie during the event and submit it for judging and scoring. Cash and swag prizes will be awarded following the contest in the Main Lodge.
The folks from Ride N’ Ski Card will be at Gunstock on Saturday, teaming up with 92.5 The River to throw a party in the Main Lodge. Ride N’ Ski Card holders will score a free Winter Flex Pass with their lift ticket purchase, good for 50% off lift tickets for the rest of the season. Visit the “River Roadies” from 11am-1pm to hear some great music and spin their prize wheel, then stick around for the Ride N’ Ski Apres Party in the Powder Keg restaurant from 2-5pm and enjoy live music from River Homegrown favorite Clint LaPointe.
Horse Drawn Sleigh Rides and Snowshoe Ridge Tours will venture through Gunstock’s snow covered trails on Saturday evening. Reserve online or at Gunstock’s Outdoor Center. Sleigh Rides depart every half hour from 2-6pm. Snowshoe Ridge Tours will embark at 4pm with a 6pm return, and at 6pm with an 8pm return.
Sunday will begin with a Yurt Yoga class from 9-10:15am. With a focus on lengthening and strengthening the muscles, this traditional Hatha yoga class is offered to all skill levels. Reserve online or at the Outdoor Center.
For those interested in learning to telemark ski or to improve their tele skills, “Tele Sundays” are being held throughout the month of March at Gunstock. Classes are offered to adult students from 10am-12pm, and to children ages 9-14 as part of the Children’s Center program on an all-day basis. Call the Welcome Center at 603-293-4341, ext. 0 to register.
