Give Up Boredom for Lent!

So, some rain happened in these parts... Not our favorite form of precipitation this time of year to be sure, but hey, that's New England for ya! Our infamous variable weather is also why we have an awesome Snowmaking crew. As soon as temperatures allow, they will be making touch-ups all over the mountain to improve conditions for the coming weekend and the week ahead.

Speaking of which, there are a lot of great events coming up! Friday, March 3rd, Gunstock will be hosting the second comedy night of the season in the Pistol Pub at 6pm. Be sure to grab your tickets in advance, as this event sells out quickly! Enjoy an amazing buffet that features carving stations and chef favorite sides.  On stage will be three of Boston’s funniest comedians Sauce-n-Cheese, Al Park, and Jessica Casciano. With this line up, you are guaranteed a good time!

This Saturday is jam-packed with fun things to do and will kick off early, with lifts opening at 7:30am exclusively for Season Pass Holders' First Tracks! If you're a season pass holder, get to the mountain bright and early and enjoy a hot chocolate on your way up the Panorama. Nothing beats hot chocolate for breakfast and fresh corduroy! Does your kid keep you on edge with their freestyle shenanigans in the terrain park? Registration for the final Grom Jam of the season will be in the Main Lodge from 9-10:30am. The competition is for both skiers and snowboarders ages 15 and under and will begin at 11am in the Park. After tearing up the mountain all day, head into the Pistol Pub for  an awesome après ski party hosted by Gunstock and 92.5 The River! Jamming out on stage will be local favorite The Michael Vincent Band. There will be a Moat Mountain Beer special going on, AND we'll be announcing the name of Gunstock's new custom IPA, brewed by Lone Wolfe Brewery in Wolfeboro, NH! Our guests, employees, and the general public selected a name over the course of three weeks by way of a survey through email and social media, so we're excited to present the name you all chose!

Be sure to check out the events calendar on our website for information on more upcoming events like the exciting Tyler Davis Hip Jam happening next Saturday, the Frosty Crank Fat Bike Race, and the jam-packed Spring Thing Weekend!

If you're new to snowsports and are interested in trying out cross country or alpine skiing or snowboarding, the time to get in the game is now! Our March Radness program includes complimentary rentals AND lessons with any all-mountain access lift ticket or pass! Check out our website for more info and start making plans to enjoy the outdoors with us!

Hope everyone has a blast this weekend!
